Diversity, check. Lovely, check. Culture, check. Huge expanses … definitely check. From the metropolis of Cape Town, via Chapmans Peak, Waterfront, Cape of Good Hope to the wine-growing areas and of course a wine tasting, it finally goes into the arid region of Namaqualand. One can almost imagine what awaits you on the other side of the border.
Then the time has come. Namibia… It’s all more sprawling, lonelier than you expected.  Now you dive into German colonial history. One can imagine what an adventure it was then to come to this inhospitable country, without the blessing of modern technology and transportation.
From now on we move almost exclusively on sand and gravel roads. We are moving, unstoppable, ever further north. The dust is omnipresent; on the equipment, on the skin, in every crack. The country is harsh, the sun is unrelenting, some might reach their physical limits and yet, every day we end up with a big smile on our faces and a cold beer on our lips. A real men’s tour.

Day 01

Whoever arrives today will be collected at the airport and brought to the Hotel. In the evening there will be a tour briefing. (D)

Day 02

Day tour Cape Peninsular 150 km

Today we receive our motorcycles and on a Cape Peninsula Tour we familiarize ourselves with the bikes and the local customs of transport.
We head for the Cape of Good Hope, Chapmans Peak and, weather permitting, Table Mountain. (B+D)

Day 03

Cape town – Clanwilliam 320 km

The day has come. We mount our stallions and off we go. On quality roads we head north. From Citrusdal we hit gravel for the first time. Good training for the days to come.  We finish today in Clanwilliam but will not retire before having a Wine tasting. (B+D)

Day 04

Clanwilliam – Richtersveld 510 km

After a hearty breakfast we’re heading further North. The landscape changes. It gets dry, the vegetation sparse. We’re crossing the border into another world. (B+D)

Day 05

Richtersveld – Luderitz 400 km

We follow the path of the Orange River to Aus for a lunch stop before we continue onto Luderitz. With some luck we will see some of the feral horses in the area.

Day 06

Luderitz – Kolmanskop- Helmeringhausen 237 km

This morning we will visit the ghost town of Kolmanskop. It used to be a Diamond rich area and the wealth of days gone by are clearly visible. From there we will head to Helmeringhausen via Aus.  (B+D)

Day 07

Helmeringhausen – Duwisib – Sesriem

We’re heading into the Namib. Sand, Sand and…that’s right also some Sand. Tonight the beer will be very welcome  (B+D)

Day 08

Rest day

We swop 2 wheels for 4 as we are exploring Dune 45 and the Dead Vlei in Namib Naukluft. A breathtaking experience. (B+D)

Day 09

Sesriem – Swakopmund 367 km

Our heading today is Northwest. Ever deeper into the desert we will have a fantastic photo opportunity at the Tropic of Capricorn before we hit the coast at Walvis Bay on our way to Swakopmund. (B+D)

Day 10

Rest day in Swakopmund

Have a sleep-in, discover Swakopmund, spend time by the pool, whatever rocks your boat to recharge your batteries. (B+D)

Day 11

Swakopmund – Windhoek 330 km

Today we are heading to Windhoek, the Capital of Namibia, via Spitzkoppe, the Namibian Ayers Rock. In Windhoek we will visit the famous Joe’s Beerhouse for gigantic Eisbein Burgers and Draught beer. Then we head for the Lodge.  (B+D)

Day 12

Windhoek – Hardap Dam Region 351 km

We change from the Namib to the Kalahari. Big red Dunes are dominating the Landscape. Be careful, there is a fairly large amount of free roamimg Oryx Antilopes.  (B+D)

Day 13

Hardap Dam Region – Fish River Canyon 480 km

Today’s highlight has to be the magnificent Fish River Canyon. Enjoy your last full day in Namibia. (B+D)

Day 14

Fish River Canyon – Springbok  300 km

Today we cross the border back to South Africa. Congratulations!  You made it. More than 2000 km of the harshest conditions; Sand, Dust, Heat,  you name it. Enjoy the ride. Compared to the last few days this will be a walk in the Park. (B+D)

Day 15

Springbok – Cape Town 566 km

A last long riding day is ahead of us. By late afternoon we should roll into Cape Town. We hope you had a fantastic time and take lasting memories back home. We would be delighted to welcome you in the not so distant future on one of our other tours again. We hand our motorcycles back to the agency and kick back at the Hotel. The Tour has officially ended  (B+D)
